Big week at Bremen Public Libraryby Bremen Public Library on April 20, 2015
BREMEN – Bremen Public Library celebrated National Library Week April 13-19.
To kick off the celebration, the library invited more than 25 members of the Bremen community to share their musical talents on Monday and Tuesday nights with singing, dancing and instrumental performances. The week also included a travel program on Thursday, with Sheila Reed presenting a slide show of her recent trip with local eighth graders to Washington D.C. Peppered between the programs were two days of free DVD checkout opportunities.
“The library has always been a place of unlimited possibilities,” said Library Director Kyle Burkett. “Whatever your interest or need, the library and the library staff are here to provide you the resources you need to accomplish your goals.”
Coinciding with National Library Week was the arrival of a new resource for BPL patrons.
“We are excited to announce the public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with Hoopla Digital,” said Burkett. “All you need is a valid Bremen Public Library card and a supported device.”
For more information about Hoopla or any of the other resources and services available at the library, Burkett encourages you to visit the library or call 574-546-2849.
