BPS Summer Feeding Programby Amy Wenger on May 25, 2014
Children of the community who might be faced with limited choices for a proper midday meal can now be assured of finding a healthier option this summer, as Bremen Public Schools will be offering a "Summer Feeding Program."
Between June 12 and July 31, those aged 18 and under can visit the Bremen Elementary-Middle School cafeteria anytime from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. When guests arrive, they will be given a balanced lunch selection, free of charge, from serving room B. Adults can also join in the program, for a cost of $3 per meal. The lunches will not be distributed during the week of July 4, nor will other meals be offered at alternate times of day.
The "Summer Feeding Program" is an ideal opportunity for local day care facilities, churches, private schools, extra curricular and sporting activities, and anyone else who wishes to participate. All children are welcome.
The People's Paper Community Calendar has the dates listed during days the program is open.
