One person was killed early Sunday morning when the motorcycle he was riding veered off the roadway and crashed into several mailboxes just east of Bremen city limits. The accident was reported to local law enforcement officials at approximately 4:30 a.m.
According to preliminary reports, the lone rider was maneuvering his motorcycle, traveling eastbound out of Bremen on Indiana 331, before his vehicle left the highway and struck a number of mailboxes. The county coroner was summoned to investigate, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The Marshall County Sherrif's Department is expected to publicize more details as the day progresses, and more information regarding the circumstances of the accident will be forthcoming as it is made available.
