Bremen Hobbies Under New Ownership

Dale and Martha Heuberger started Bremen Hobbies as a pet store in 1961.  It originally started out in the basement of the house next door where they lived at the time.  Over a short period of time, it changed over to a hobby store.  In the mid 60's Dale built a large slot racing track which became very popular.  The store moved into its present location in 1979 as a new building.  Half of it was dedicated to an indoor RC car track.  Soon they found that they needed more space for inventory so the race track was shut down.  Martha held ceramic classes until interest slowed down.

Once Dale and Martha’s son Andy married Theresa, she immediately began helping out at the store and has been a fixture in the store ever since.  Theresa started working there full time about 3 years ago.   Dale passed away in 2011.  Martha needed help so she hired Tony Derosa, a long time friend of the family.  He is very knowledgeable in the radio control departments so he fits in well.

April 1, 2014, Martha retired and handed the reigns over to Theresa and Andy.  Martha continues to assist in her spare time.  They are in the process of refreshing the store with new paint and some rearranging.

Bremen Hobbies is having a huge clearance sale beginning May 3 through May 24, 2014.  They will be making room for some new inventory.  May 3rd, customers will be given 10% off their first item purchased that day only.  Feel free to stop in and congratulate them on their future endeavors!
