Bremen Missionary Church Summer Events for Kids

by Tammy Venable on June 12, 2014

Bremen Missionary Church has several opportunities for kids this summer.  Their desire is to see kids learn about Jesus and to have a relationship with Him.  While they have a lot of fun things planned for summer, their real hope is that they can share with kids through the word of God so that they may be able to come to Jesus and trust that His Word is real, powerful, and true.  Here is an overview of the events they have going on this summer…

Summer J.A.M. (Jesus and Me)
Summer J.A.M. will be held every Wednesday night during summer break from 6:30-7:30 at the Sunnyside Park in the Pavilion.  It is geared for children Preschool- 5th Grade. During the hour, the kids will dive into the Word and learn about who Jesus is and what He has done for them.  There will also be some games, music, crafts, and snacks.  They have started a bus route to pick up and drop kids off to make it easier for parents.  Linda Kling, who has driven bus for the school for many years, will be the driver.  They will have four stops as scheduled:
Pick up/Drop off
6:00/8:05- Corner of Grant and Birkey in Shumaker
6:10/7:55- The High school Parking Lot
6:20/7:45- The Library Parking Lot
6:25/7:40- Corner of Lincoln and Washington by the Park
The church bus is white and says Bremen Missionary Church on the side. Parents are also welcome to come out and bring their kids and talk with our leaders as well!

Gangway to Galilee Vacation Bible School
Bremen Missionary Church’s  VBS will be held Sunday July 6 through Thursday July 10 this year.  It will be located at Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Rd, Bremen, IN 46506. Vacation Bible School will be from 6:30-8:00. However, they will be serving a free dinner beforehand from 5:30-6:15. They understand summer  doesn’t make life any less hectic for parents so they wanted to help alleviate some of that afternoon chaos by providing dinner for anyone that is participating in or attending VBS that week.  The theme is that Jesus gives Amazing Grace and our Key Verse for the week is Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” There will be music, crafts, games, and most importantly a message from the Word and a challenge for the kids to live what they have learned.  This is for ages Pre-school- 5th grade. There is no pre-registration required. There will be a registration table set up every night.  They will have the bus (driver is Linda Kling) pick up kids in time to eat dinner and then drop them off after VBS.  Here is the schedule:
 Pick up/Drop off
5:15/8:35- Corner of Grant and Birkey in Shumaker
5:25/8:25- The High school Parking Lot
5:35/8:15- The Library Parking Lot
5:40/8:10- Corner of Lincoln and Washington by the Park

Fun Fair and Vacation Bible School Wrap up
The last thing they will be doing this summer is a Vacation Bible School wrap up during the regular Sunday service on July 13 at 10:30AM. This is an opportunity for parents to see what the kids did during VBS and to get a chance to meet the congregation. There will be a free lunch after the service at noon and then a VBS wrap up Fun Fair for the kids to celebrate their week from 1:00-3:00. You do not have to come to the service at 10:30 to be able to participate in lunch and the Fun Fair as they  understand that some families attend another church. There will be carnival games, prizes, and inflatables for the kids to enjoy.  Come join us for a free family event!

You can visit our Facebook page for more details on the summer kids programs. Feel free to message them with questions as well.  As a reminder they have regular Sunday services and Wednesday programs going on through the summer for Youth Group and Adults as well. Visit their website for more info.
