Bremen Public Schools Receives Accreditation from AdvancEDby Reggie Flesvig on January 29, 2015
After a three-day visit from an external review team representing AdvancED, a global leader in providing continuous improvement and accreditation services to over 32,000 institutions serving 20 million students worldwide, Bremen Public Schools earned the distinction of accreditation.
The external review team, made up of educators from Indiana and Ohio, used a diagnostic process to stimulate and guide continuous improvement with a focus on the impact of teaching and learning, the capacity of leadership, and the use of resources. The review team’s exit report on Wednesday, January 28th, outlined powerful practices, opportunities for improvement, improvement priorities, an index of education quality (IEQ), and its accreditation recommendation.
During its visit the team examined student performance results, instructional quality, learner and family engagement, support services for student learning, curriculum quality and efficacy, and college and career readiness data. Bremen Public Schools will now focus its efforts on addressing the improvement priorities that were recommended by the external review team.
Bremen Pubic Schools would like to thank everyone in the community who contributed their time and resources to making this important AdvancED accreditation process and visit a positive and successful one.
