Eagle Scout, Eric Ringer, Asks For Community Support For Improving Heroes' Memorialby Tammy Venable on July 8, 2014
Eagle Scout, Eric Ringer has a dream. For the past six years, Ringer has dreamed of improving the current Heroes' Memorial at the Bremen Cemetery. Ringers idea is to put up six flags (one for each branch of military service and the American flag), install lights, build a stone half wall and sell memorial pavers for a walkway.
The Heroes' Memorial is for anyone who is or was in any branch of the military service, police or firefighter. Ringer has raised some money working during the games at Notre Dame, but needs community support in making the dream come true.
The project has the following expenses:
Flag Poles: $2,000.00
Stone for Wall: $300.00
Miscellaneous Items: $200.00
A total estimated expense of $3385.00. An expensive undertaking for Ringer, he's hoping Bremen will support his endeavors that will benefit the whole community. Eric, his dad, and his two brothers are all firemen and Eric has plans of joining the military after high school.
Ringer is selling engraved pavers. The pavers are 4" x 8" in size and cost $50 each. Engraving includes 15 characters/spaces per line and a total of 3 lines. Checks should be made payable to Troop 256. Checks and order form can be mailed to 6684 SR 106 W., Bremen, IN 46506. Click the link below to print the Order Form.
