Farm & Cottage Market Set for October 4

by Jessica Flores on August 25, 2014

Hundreds of Bremen residents and out-of-town guests crowded the water tower plaza and surrounding parking lots last October for Bremen Community Cares’ first Farm & Cottage Market, and the group is making plans for a second-annual the first weekend of October.  This year’s market will be held Saturday, October 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on South Jackson Street between Plymouth and South Streets.

Event coordinator, Jessica Flores, says the market committee hopes to feature approximately forty vendors with offerings such as produce, pumpkins and gourds, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, honey and handmade items from local cottage industries like natural beauty products, jewelry, lawn art, pottery and much more.  Live music and activities for children are being planned, and visitors can start off the day with a visit to the Fire Department Garage for a free pancake and sausage breakfast!

For more information or to apply as a vendor (produce is especially needed), contact Bremen Community Cares via email at, visit their Facebook Page, or call 574-546-9467.
