Hometown Son to Emcee Ladies’ Night Outby Sharon Bohannon on October 9, 2014
There are few men invited or allowed to attend Tri Kappa’s annual Ladies’ Night Out event. After all, it is a night out for women. However, one guy gets a special pass and of course the ladies are cool with that. For several years now, Dean Huppert has graciously donated his time to emcee Bremen’s Tri Kappa Ladies’ Night Out.
We’re happy to say it’s no different this year. On Thursday, November 6, 2014, Bremen’s hometown son will emcee this year’s cheerfully twinkling Winter Wonderland gala.
A 1985 graduate of Bremen High School, Huppert earned 10 varsity letters in baseball, basketball and tennis. He is the sports director for WSJV-TV and FOX 28. His key features include, “Huppert’s Hometown,” FOX 28 Golf Challenge” and “Sports EXTRA.” Of course, we can see Huppert on FOX 28 News broadcast, 10 p.m., every weeknight. “I have been on television in this market for more than half my life, ” he said.
Huppert gives back to the community in various important capacities. He is a board member for the 3C’s Memorial Scholarship Fund and Michiana Racing Hall of Fame. He serves on the advisory board for Elkhart County Area Career Center and hosted the MDA Telethon for 17 years.
The continued success of Tri Kappa Ladies’ Night Out is only possible with the first-rate support of Bremen and area businesses. And, when you purchase a ticket to attend, not only will you enjoy a relaxing and fun evening, you provide Tri Kappa the ability to continue its assistance to the community and our home state of Indiana. For tickets, call Barb Unrue at 546-2743 or email her at email@example.com.
The event will be held at St. Isidore Hall in Bremen. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the evening will kick off with a full dinner buffet catered by Dal-Mar. Musical entertainment through the evening will be performed by the talented, young harpist, Natalie Evans from Goshen. In addition, we are excited that Bremen High School’s Show Choir will perform. These are students who may have an opportunity to earn a Tri Kappa Scholarship in the future – a key reason Tri Kappa members work so hard on this night.
Tri Kappa is a sorority located only within the state of Indiana that supports education, culture, charity, and community service. The Epsilon Pi chapter of Bremen has been serving the community for 54 years. So dig out your mittens or muff, and come enjoy Winter Wonderland!
