Indiana Hunter Education Courses will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm use and handling while hunting, as well as in the home, hunter ethics and responsibility, game identification, and conservation management. Anyone born after December 31, 1986 is required to be certified in Hunter Education before they can purchase a hunting license. On Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21, 2014 the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are offering a free Hunter Education Class. The class will be held at the Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Road, Bremen. Saturday classes are from 8-5 and Sunday from 1-5. Must attend both days. There is no age limit but the recommended age is 8 years old and above. Parents and/or guardians are encouraged to attend. Students under 12 are required to have an adult present.
All materials are provided free of charge except a writing utensil. Saturday will include a 1 hour lunch break around noon. There are restaurants within 5 minutes but students are welcome to bring a sack lunch.
