Interra Credit Union Finds Home in Bremenby Alex Lowe on February 25, 2016
Bremen recently welcomed a second credit union to our town. Interra Credit Union, whose mission is “To be our members most trusted and valuable financial resource,” has recently been built on the West Plymouth Street plaza. Interra is located in between Dollar Tree and Tony’s Grill. Its hours are from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday from 8:30 A.M. to noon.
Interra may not be a nationally recognized credit union; however, it still offers many services that any large credit union would offer.
Through Interra, members can:
- Open checking and savings accounts
- Apply for loans
- Apply for credit cards
- Become insured
Take classes regarding budgeting, financing, or calculating
To become a member of Interra, individuals need:
- Social security number
- Tax ID Number
- Driver’s license or state-issued ID
- Information about any loans or mortgages you currently have
- For instant account funding, you will need your current financial institutions’ account and routing numbers
- To apply for a joint account, you need: the co-applicant’s name, their Social Security or Tax ID Number, and their date of birth.
Another service that Interra provides that benefits its members is there ATM service. While some members may struggle to find time that correlates with Interra’s hours, the credit union has solved that issue. To satisfy these members, Interra offers a 24-hour ATM at their Bremen location. Thus, if you are in need of making a transaction, you do not have to go when the bank is open.
Interra is located in cities other than just Bremen, Indiana. Other Interra Credit Unions are located in: Wakarusa, Nappanee, Goshen, and Elkhart. To add, Etna Green will be adding a Interra Credit Union of their own on March 7th.
