Kiddies Day Parade Returns

by Amy Wenger on July 11, 2014

It's hard to tell which group of local residents is most excited about the approaching Kiddies Day parade...the children who are soon hoping to participate, or the adults who were around when the event first began.

Bremen Community Cares, as part of its ongoing mission to restore bygone traditions and help cultivate new ones, will be spearheading the effort to launch the Kiddies Day parade for inclusion in a diverse slate of summertime activities.  This beloved affair will be returning on Tuesday, August 12, beginning at 7 p.m.

The staging area will be at the corner of South and Center streets near downtown Bremen, and parade lineup will start at 6:30 p.m.  The children will then march to Sunnyside Park, where there will be judging and prizes.

Youngsters from infancy to 12 years of age are invited to join in the parade, but children six years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Entries of all types are welcome, including floats, non-motorized bicycles, scooters, strollers, wagons, costumed marchers, and restrained pets.
