Kiwanis Provides Breakfast While Bremen Swing Choir Provides Entertainment for The Whitlockby Steve Wirgau on December 9, 2014 |
On Tuesday before Thanksgiving, the Bremen Kiwanis Club provided breakfast and a music program for the residents of The Whitlock Retirement Community, during the regular Kiwanis meeting that was from 6:30 - 7:30 am.
The breakfast included " all you can eat" pancakes and sausages, which was prepared and served by the Kiwanis Club members. The music was provided by the Bremen High School Swing Choir, under the direction of Kathy Overmyer, who is Bremen's High School Vocal Music Director.
A total of 35 members of this 36 member choir arrived early, and were served breakfast before they provided 20 minutes of outstanding music to the residents, Kiwanis members, and guests. Providing this type of breakfast and program to The Whitlock is a Kiwanis community service project.
