Tri Kappa crafts pillows and blankets for children at Rileyby Sharon Bohannon on March 30, 2015 |
Members of Bremen Tri Kappa Epsilon Pi recently put their skills to work for their annual service project benefiting the Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis. The members created many “puppy” pillows – so named because of their puppy face design – and a variety of fleece tie blankets.
These soft pillows and blankets bring smiles and comfort to children coming out of surgery and to their families. The project supports Tri Kappa’s statewide commitment to Riley, which has donated more than $1 million and thousands of Riley dolls since 1922.
Local members who gathered in Beth Huppert’s classroom at Bremen High School recently to complete the project include, (l-r) Kristi Nettrouer, Connie Wilson, Kaye Kelley, Kristi Philips, Debi Sahlhoff, Beth Huppert, Sharon Bohannon, Heather Dirrim, as well as Mary Grebe and Cassie Creighton (not pictured).
