Winter Wonderland is Coming for Tri Kappa

by Sharon Bohannon on September 23, 2014

Members of the Bremen chapter of Tri Kappa are preparing for their exciting, annual Ladies’ Night Out. The event is scheduled Thursday, November 6, 2014, at St. Isidore Hall in Bremen.

This isn’t about the weather we’re dreading. Rather, this Winter Wonderland will sparkle, will cheer, and will warm you from top to tootsies. Be ready to loosen up, lighten up and unwind, while bidding on chances to take home some incredible packages, jewelry, decorations, and many gifts. But, wait! That’s not all. Door prizes AND a chance to win a $1000 shopping spree are yours when you attend.

Our popular hometown son, Dean Huppert will again serve as emcee throughout the evening.  Dean is the sports director at FOX28. No one has covered more high school games in this market than this guy.  At the same time, when it comes to Notre Dame coverage, he doesn’t miss a beat on the field, at the practices, covering recruiting and of course getting it done on game days.  He anchors, shoots, edits and does the hard interviews.

Entertainment throughout the Winter Wonderland evening will feature a harpist, Natalie Evans, a talented musician and senior high school student from Goshen. Also, we are pleased that Bremen’s High School show choir will perform, led by Kathy Overmyer, vocal music instructor.

“Ladies’ Night Out is our biggest fundraiser each year,” said Mary Grebe, president. “With the funds raised, we are able to fund several scholarships. A significant portion goes through Dollars for Scholars. Further, we offer an opportunity for a $1000, four-year, renewable scholarship to Bremen graduates already enrolled in college.”

Additionally, the Bremen Chapter gives back to our community in many ways, including: the Bremen Wander Indiana educational trip, Bremen School’s eighth grade Washington DC trip, Bremen Special Education classes, and Bremen High School’s DECA Team. The chapter also supports the Community Hospital of Bremen, Bremen Public Library, Jane’s Park, and local charities.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the evening will kick off with a dinner buffet catered by Dal-Mar.  Ticket reservations are required to attend. So ladies, enlist a friend or few. You may purchase your tickets by contacting Barb Unrue at 546-2743 or email her at

The Epsilon Pi chapter of Bremen has been serving our community for 54 years. Tri Kappa is a sorority only within the bounds of the state of Indiana, supporting education, culture, charity, and community service.
