Coats Statement on Slowing GDP Growthby Senator Dan Coats on October 29, 2015 |
WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.), the chairman the Joint Economic Committee, today issued the following statement regarding newly released GDP numbers from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, which revealed economic output in the United States slowed to an annual rate of 1.5% for the first estimate of GDP growth for the third quarter:
“With yet another quarter of disappointing growth, it is past time for Congress and this administration to pursue pro-growth policies that will unshackle our economy. Tax reform, strong trade agreements and regulatory reform are the keys to growing an economy that produces the jobs and opportunities Americans deserve.”
