Family Programming at the Wakarusa Public Library

by Shondra Brown on May 9, 2015

Check-out and read a juvenile nonfiction book at the Wakarusa Public Library and we will give you an entry slip for our giveaway!  May is our “J-Nonfiction Challenge” at the library.  Dare to accept the challenge and you may be rewarded!  You may fill out one entry form at each library visit when you take home a j-nonfiction book during May 4 – 23.  A book prize pack will be awarded to a random winner on May 26.

Join us on Thursday, May 21, for our next Family Program!  We will be reading the newest “Pete the Cat” book by James Dean, creating a Family Tree, and playing Musical Chairs!  The start time for this event is 6:30 p.m., and registration is required.  All ages are welcome to attend.

The library will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

Our Summer Reading Club (ages Preschool – Adult) registration begins on Thursday, May 28!  Stop in anytime starting at 9 a.m. that day to get registered to read your way through the summer!

“Jack and the Beanstalk” is currently running on our Dial A Story Line at 862-4441.    Hear how Jack's dubious proceeds from the sale of his cow turn out to be worth more than their weight in gold!
