Get spooked and thrilled this Halloween at Indiana Dunes State Park, as “Howl”oween returns to haunt the dunes.
Activities will take place throughout the weekend, but the bulk will occur on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Nightly owl banding demonstrations will happen Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. at the nature center.
The campground will host special activities for campers. Campers are encouraged to bring costumes for trick-or-treating from 4-5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Saturday night picks up with night hikes into the dunes. Visitors can choose from two hike options or hayrides through the campgrounds. Children younger than age 12 are required to bring an adult. Hayride tickets will be sold for $2 from the campground gate throughout the day.
All other activities are free after the standard $7 per in-state vehicle and $12 per out-of-state gate fee.
