Ice Cream Social at the Wakarusa Public Library

by Shondra Brown on July 3, 2015

Join us for an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social!  Our next Family Program will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 6:30 p.m.   The Friends of the Library are donating the ice cream and each registered family is asked to bring a topping to share. We’ll read a book, play a game, and visit with each other throughout the evening.  Registration is required, and all ages are welcome to attend.  An adult caregiver or parent must accompany each family.

Book Bites will take place on Friday, July 17 (“Stick and Stone” by Beth Ferry) and Tuesday, July 28 (“Billy and Goat at the State Fair” by Don Yaccarino) at 10:15 a.m.  Children will hear a story or two and participate in either a craft or activity related to the stories.  No registration is required.

“The Brave Tin Soldier” is currently running on our Dial A Story Line at 862-4441.  Callers will hear how after enduring some death defying acts, a toy soldier is returned home by a friendly fish.
