The annual Indiana Emergency Response Conference will begin Wednesday, August 20, at the Sheraton Hotel at Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis.
The goal of the conference is to bring together emergency response personnel from all parts of the state.
Conference participants are expected to come from police departments, fire departments, emergency medical services, and more.
Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops and vendor exhibit shows. Workshop topics include EMS guidelines and ethics, active shooter situations, firefighting strategies, hazardous materials training, and trauma care, among many others.
Along with workshops and exhibit shows, awards will be given out to emergency response personnel and agencies across the state. Awards include Fire Chief of the Year, Dispatcher of the Year, Medical Director of the Year, Paramedic of the Year, Heroic Rescue of the Year, and more.
The conference runs through Saturday, August 23.
