Madison Township 4-H Awards Banquet and Silent Auction

by Jessica Grabowski on September 17, 2014

Another year at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair has come to a close.  The Fairgrounds are empty and quiet as friends and family of 4-H'ers admire their projects, ribbons and trophies.  Not all the townships are finished celebrating.  The Madison Township 4-H Club is inviting all the 4-H'ers and their families to their annual Madison Township Banquet and Silent Auction.

The Banquet will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commercial Building of the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds.  The main entree will be furnished by the club, but they are asking each family to bring a covered dish and dessert to share with each other.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., giving people a chance to look over the silent auction items.

The Silent Auction is the clubs largest fundraiser of the year.  It allows the club to offer scholarships to EVERY 10-Year Madison Township 4-H'er.  Without this support, the club could not continue to help their 4-H'ers as they leave the club to move on to other endeavors.

Plaques and trophies will be handed out, as well as honoring 4-H Leaders.  There will also be a short meeting that will begin around 6:30 p.m.

If you have questions or would like to help the Township Club help their 4-Her's with a donation for the auction, please contact Jeanne Lehman at 633-4611.  Members should be receiving a card in the mail, so please RSVP.
