Nappanee Library Hosts American Girls Club Meeting and Bus Tripby Jessica Flores on March 18, 2016
Girls will make decorative string art stars at the next American Girls Club meeting at the Nappanee Public Library on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Girls in grades 1 – 2 will meet from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., and those in grades 3 – 5 will meet from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Space is limited. The American Girls Club meets once a month at the library during the school year to learn about girls in American history and share other activities such as themed parties, and community service projects.
The Library is sponsoring a trip to Chicago’s American Girl Place with the group on Saturday, May 7. Tickets are $23, and cover transportation for one person on a chartered bus from Nappanee. Lunch at American Girl Place is optional and costs $29 per person. All optional activities at the attraction are riders’ responsibility. Check in is at NorthWood High School at 6:45 a.m., and the group is expected to arrive back at 8:00 p.m.
Space is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. Seats are open to those wishing to enjoy other Chicago attractions outside American Girl Place as well. All participants under eighteen years old must be accompanied by an adult.
To register, stop in at the Library and return by Friday, April 1.
