New Christian Fiction at the Wakarusa Public Library

Book Bites will take place on Thursday, July 2 (“The Bear Ate Your Sandwich” by Julia Sarcone-Roach) and Monday, July 6 (“The Adventures of Beekle” by Dan Santat) at 10:15 a.m.  Children will hear a story or two and participate in either a craft or activity related to the stories.  No registration is required.

The library will be closed on Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Preschool Story Hour is a program for registered children ages 3 – 5 years old.  Tuesday, July 7, at 10:15 a.m., children will hear “Hero Cat” by Eileen Spinelli, a story about an animal hero.  Registered children will also participate in an activity or a craft related to the story.

Wednesday, July 8 at 1:00 pm will be our next School Age Special for children in grades K – 5.  Participants will be watching the movie, “Incredibles”, and refreshments will be served.  Registration is required for this event. 

 “Sleeping Beauty” is currently running on our Dial A Story Line at 862-4441.  Callers will hear how an enchanted princess is cast into a lengthy snooze, only to be awakened by a handsome prince charming.
