Potawatomi Wildlife Park Schedules Fall Eventsby Tammy Venable on September 3, 2014
The Potawatomi Wildlife Park in Tippecanoe Indiana has scheduled several fall events. Potawatomi Wildlife Park prides itself on being a place where the public can enjoy the solitude of nature, wildlife and history. They provide educational programs and opportunities for all people and are a community and regional gathering place. Potawatomi Wildlife Park is surely a hidden gem.
The park is a non-profit, privately maintained park open to the public every day of the year. It offers trails, wildlife viewing, picnic areas and more.
The park is currently looking for donations or funds for the following needs... General operating funds, Cabin Decor from the early 1800's, a hay wagon for hay rides, kayaks/canoes, funds for a Gator/Ranger, Funds for a tractor, Bulk corn for feeders and funds for bird seed. Your monetary gifts are appreciated all through the year. In addition, the park is currently promoting a "Rock The Park" Campaign where they are raising money to resurface the Bessinger Pavilion Limestone Parking Lot to make it easier to walk on. You can help by sponsoring individual loads with a gift of $500 which provides a load of limestone and spreading it.
This summer, the entrance to the trail system was enhanced with mulch around the trees, wildflower and grass plantings. Several members provided the sweat equity and volunteered their time and talents to the task.
Upcoming Events are sure to please visitors from all over.
