Registration Begins at The Wakarusa Public Library

The Friends of the Library will be meeting on September 1, at 1:00 p.m.  This is a group of volunteers that advocate and assist the Wakarusa Library.  Anyone interested in the library may attend.

Registration for the next Adult Book Club is now open!  Registered participants will be reading The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin.  The discussion meeting will take place on Thursday,September 3 (6:30 – 7:30 p.m.).  Registered patrons may check out the book from the library, or secure a copy of their own.  Discussion questions will be provided, and refreshments will be served at the meeting.

“The North Wind and the Sun” is currently running on our Dial-A-Story Line at 862-4441.  Callers will hear Aesop give another lesson in a humorous way - that persuasion is better than force.
