Wakarusa Historical Museum Letter of Thanksby Wakarusa Historical Museum on October 9, 2014 |
Dear Citizens, Friends & Supporters of the Wakarusa Historical Museum,
We wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported us in various ways during our Antique Farm Machinery Show, which we hosted on Saturday, October 4. Although we would have wished for better weather, the time we spent visiting with our guests & sponsors was a truly memorable experience, and we are so very grateful to the following businesses, families, & individuals for all of their efforts:
To the Corporate Sponsors – Thank you! You are an integral part in making this event the success that it has become! We hope we provided a chance for you to demonstrate & advertise your products & services, along with a few perks & some special advertising that we gladly shared on your behalf.
Weaver Ag & Lawn of Wakarusa
Bellman Oil of Bremen
Wyatt Sales & Service of Wyatt
Monteith Tire of Wakarusa
Glen’s Tire of Wakarusa
Wakarusa Nutritional Service
A special extension of our thankfulness goes out to the folks of Nappanee, who made the show extra special with their steam engines, rumly pull, thrasher, bailer, cider press, and tasty cider. They were also kind enough to share a great deal of insight, suggestions, and wisdom, which we will carry into planning for next year’s show.
Delbert Borkholder & his great family
Jerry LeCount & his tremendous crew
The Scott Brothers & Family for their hit-and-miss engines
The Miller Brothers & family for their terrific supporting in transporting
We also wish to thank the Civil War re-enactors, as you bring certain aspects of history to life. Special thanks to Omar Hunsberger & Nate Moore for their assistance & expertise in the blacksmith shop. To the volunteers in the food booth, Sally Bloomfield & Judy Leach, who have become new Wakarusa Historical Society members since this show took place. Thank you to our Board of Directors, who volunteered many hours to make this show possible, and to our Museum Manager Sterling Jenson for all your hard work before, during, and after the show. And thanks as well, to our Wakarusa Historical Society volunteers, crew, and the Moore family.
If we have overlooked anyone for any reason in offering our sincerest gratitude, we truly did not intentionally miss anyone. Thank you all for making the Wakarusa Historical Society Antique Farm Machinery Show such an all-around, first rate show. We hope you all had a wonderful time. We certainly did, and we enjoyed having you here and we hope you can join us for next year’s show. All are invited again next year, and all who wish to exhibit are invited as well.
Sincerely,
The Wakarusa Historical Society Board of Directors
