The Bremen 5th Grade Boys Basketball team tipped off it's season Nov. 9, 2015 with a home opener vs. Walkerton. The A team played a hard fought game, but Walkerton pulled away in the fourth quarter and won 27-20. The Lions were led in scoring by Seth Libey with 8 points. While Mikal Rogers, Grant Devine, and Evan Lopez all had 4 points each.
The B team had a very exciting game that came down to the last minute. Angel Estrada hit a shot with 25 seconds to help the Lions to an 11-10 victory. Keegan Miller led the Lions in scoring with 6, while AJ Ton added 2 and Bradyn Weaver hit an important free throw in the 4th.
Good job by the 5th grade basketball team as a whole in their first games. The Lions have a quick turnaround as they travel to North Liberty Nov. 10 for a game at 5:00 p.m.
