Marisa Browning Signs With Holy Crossby Bremen Athletics on May 30, 2015 |
Marisa Browning has signed a letter of intent to attend Holy Cross College located at Notre Dame, Indiana where she will continue her soccer career and study physical therapy or exercise science. Marisa served as captain on the Bremen High School soccer team where she was a 4-year varsity letter winner. Marisa was also a 2-time All Northern State Conference selection. In addition to soccer, Browning is a captain on the track team and an accomplished sprinter. As a member of Bremen’s 400M relay team, Marisa has collected 3 Northern State Conference Championships and has qualified for the IHSAA Regional twice. Marisa’s 400M relay team holds the current school record at 50.55. Congratulations Marisa!
Bremen Head Soccer Coach Tom Chang stated, “Marisa made great strides this past year as one of our senior leaders both in the classroom and on the pitch. A fierce player with speed to burn and a drive to win, she will definitely be missed next season at our outside midfield and forward positions. As a coach you understand that you can develop skills in most players but work ethic and aggressiveness have to come from within. Marisa is one of those players and has the necessary tools to accomplish whatever is needed to succeed.”
“Marisa is a passionate and driven young lady who loves to take on challenges. She is also a great teammate and strongly desires to perform her best for the team. She has shown great maturity as a leader this year and brought that same maturity to her college decision making process,” commented Head Track Coach Mark Yoder, “She leaves our program as a record holder and I can’t wait to see her compete at an even higher level within the collegiate environment!”
